LOL when my grandfather had the auto body shop almost all of his kids used
to work for him and they would break at 4 pm to watch general hospital and
have coffee and sweets then they used to go home afterward or finish off the
car if they were in the middle of it.
Dad still watches GH and now so do I. I used to love another world but GH
is about the only one I can get into.

General Hospital, One Life to Live, Ryan's Hope, The Young and the
Restless, All My Children....
I started watching One Life to Live because it came on right after GH
and I'd caught sight of this really good looking guy before I changed
the channel. Well, I kept on the channel, but there was a fire in the
plot that day. The good looking guy was badly burned and wouldn't ya
know, I kept watching the show to see him again, but when they
unwrapped the bandages from his face, well, it was another actor - not
nearly as good looking. Didn't matter. I was hooked by then.
A friend of mine moved to Mexico when her husband started going to med
school in Guadalajara so I would send her a weekly update on all of
our soaps. This was long before the magazines.

Aw sorry! My dislike for series and soap operas in particular is of a
fanatically religious nature. Can't help myself.

LOL. That's how I feel about the "reality" shows. I watched Dallas,
Falcon Crest, Knot's Landing but never Dynasty. Now, day time soaps.
OMG. It's been decades, but I used to watch about 5 or 6 of them
(including the very odd one, Dark Shadows).

My stepson watches domestic soap operas. He used to watch Mexican soap
operas 2 years ago when he neither understood the Spanish dialog nor
was able to read the subtitles fast enough. But he could still explain
the plot anytime!

Probably because all the plots are the same. :o)

I guess I have a very bad karma :-)

Yep. That's it.

Dieting and quitting an addictive drug (nicotine) are both lifestyle
changes.
Choose not to smoke, choose to eat healthy and exercise.
People I've seen successfully lose weight and keep it off, weren't
aiming at a goal of losing weight.
They were choosing to live a healthier life and their body responded.
I'll shut up now. I've never had to lose weight and can eat ice cream
'till I puke.
But, now that I've quit smoking and I'm approaching an age, I better
make that healthy choice now.
