I have now made it through 3 days without too much trouble. I didn't quit until
the ninth day on chantix instead of the 8th as I had planned. I am having some
pretty strong cravings at times but am getting through them. I am a bit
irritable, but not too bad though, at least I haven't strangled anyone.....yet.
This long holiday weekend will be the most difficult as I have always smoked
more when not working. We are going to a cookout Sunday and everyone there
smokes so that will be a challenge. The Chantix seems to be working OK. I
haven't had any side effects from it. Still waiting for the weird dreams. I
WANT THE WEIRD DREAMS, DAMMIT!!!!

I have been quit for 3 Days, 7 hours and 31 seconds (3 days). I have saved
$2.58 by not smoking 49 cigarettes. I have saved 4 hours and 5 minutes of my
life. My Quit Date: 8/28/2007 6:30 AMhttp://picasaweb.google.com/crmartin1
When I paid closer attention to what I thought were cravings, I soon
discovered they were really just thoughts.
It got easier and easier to distract myself from them.
Who would cry if you skipped the cookout?
The other half of we?
