New meter:

Two days, 6 hours, 33 minutes and 43 seconds. 2 cigarettes not smoked,
saving $0.51. Life saved: 10 minutes.

That's where I stand.

Woo Hoo!!!! You're back on-board, struggling through this and I think that's great. Maybe you don't see it in yourself, but I have a lot of respect for that.

Re. the accident, wow, terrible. Very sorry to hear about that. It sounds to me like you were dealing with road hazards and obstructed vision. Furthermore, motorcycle drivers should know the hell better than to ride in a person's blind spot, and to approach a traffic situation like the one you described with a hell of a lot more caution. That's probably a very defensible position in court. Also, the flaming idiots weren't wearing helmets. I wasn't there, didn't see the accident, but... it sounds like you're the kind of person who blames yourself for a lot of things that aren't necessarily your fault. (That's based on just a couple emails, yah? I may be wayyy off base.)
