I live out in the middle of Missouri and the light pollution
is encroaching at a fast pace. If there's not much haze the
sky is beautiful. Nothing like it was just 10 - 15 yrs ago.
Crap. Why don't people turn their lights off at night!
All the farmers around here have their blaring pole lights
on all night. Oh - Don't Get Me Started. How can they stand it?
And the lights even make noise. Headache machines in the middle
of the night. Not on any level will I ever understand it. BTW:
Lights help criminals to see how to break in and steal.

Thanks for sharing this, Marvin. Living in very light polluted NYC, I
can see the moon and maybe one or two stars on a very clear night and
that is about it. Having experienced seeing the milky way and stars
from all parts of heaven when I have been in places where that is
possible, I am very aware of how cut-off from nature this artificial
place is. Guess I gotta go smell the roses....<G>
