Everything in moderation ?



Hi All

I just had a thought the other day, I was making myself a sandwich, I
have always been a good eater, I would normally make myself 2 sarnies,
a packet of crisps and a pasty. A large amount of food true. Anyway I
said to myself do I really need all this food maybe I should just have
one sarnie and a packet of crisps. As I was putting the pasty and
bread away I thought to myself Wow !! thats the first time I have ever
downsized when getting ready to eat, how could this be ?

A question to you all, do you think it's because I have got out of the
habit of smoking ?.... You know constantly *having* to suck on ***
sticks sort of get you in the frame of mind of "everything to excess"

I went out the other night with my crew for the first time since I
stopped smoking. I really enjoyed myself I drove, so I drank alcohol
free lager which was very nice, we went for a Indian meal at a nice
restaurant. Had a good laugh and unwound. The contrasting night when I
was a smoker would have been a haze of nicotine and alcohol with a day
off the day after.

I like not smoking it seems to me to have so may hidden benefits as my
quit unrolls.
