It may seem daft this but today I have been invited to play golf in a
pro am. I will be playing with Paul (touring pro attached to my club)
Lee (18 year old assistant pro plays off 4.2) and a young lady who

has a great behind and I should not look as it could ruin my game).
In the blue corner is myself a bit of a snake playing off 10 (arrhh I
see why they want me now).
In the past when I smoked and I played in such company I would have
lit up as I hit each green. I am not going to do that today I am going
to enjoy the company, hope it stays fine, breathe deep and hope I roll
a few putts in.
If I get any craves I shall smile as I think of you all
Wish me Luck

Well where do I start, I had fantastic day the high lights of which
were.

Lee's bright green golf pants only an 18 year old could pull it off.
Also his confidence on and around the greens. He also hits it a mile.

Emily's short game was the best I have ever seen it included rolling
in a 75 foot birdie putt !! and I lost count of the stone dead chips.
She is 17 years old and Plays off a 1 handicap when I asked her when
she started playing her answer was "oh about 4 years of age"

Paul the pro....well I have seen some *** done to a fucking golf ball
in my time but what I witnessed first hand made my game look like very
very ordinary. He spun a golf ball off the green at a 165 yard par 3
into a water hazard with a nine Iron, the ball originally pitched 2
feet below the hole. He hit the ball so far I kept losing sight of it
and I have 20/20 vision. He drove a 422 yard 90 degree dog leg par 4
green cutting the corner I reckon about a 370 ish yard drive, picked
his tee up and said "I Knocked the tits off that one" He finished
level par.

I held my end up, pared the 1st for a nett birdie, hit the pin and
birdied another non shot hole a short par 4 and nett pared the hardest
hole on the course.

We finished 7 under in 7th place just a couple of places out of the
prizes and we all left a few putts out there. We had a lovely meal
after and Paul had us in stitches telling us tales of the characters
he has met in golf.

I thought of you lot once when I was explaining to Emily that I had
quit smoking. Other than that I had a great day with no craves
whatsoever.

Isn't Life great without smoking.

Chris
