Hey folks!
So ive smoked for 28 years. i started to look cool and my dad let me bum
smokes at 12 years old. I never have been a health nut. i was a
self-destructive drunk. pot, drugs whatevers. I am female.
So i see this small white spot under my tongue last october. i type in
mouth cancer photos and it does look like i have it. i go to the dentist
and showed him the spot, "aw, thats nothin to worry about, its just your
jagged tooth breaking the skin." Im think cool. But it starts growing. I
went to my PCP who suggested a biopsy. Im scared to death!
got the flesh removed, came back a week later, dr says, " Im sorry it
came out bad." I was in utter shock! I had cancer at 40 years old!
Lss, it didnt spread to my lymphnodes and i had 1/3 of my tongue
removed. No chemo, no rad, BUT,,,, i have to keep a close eye on the
tongue. IT CAN COME BACK!
Guess what, a week after surgery, i had a smoke! Im two days quit and if
cancer cant make you quit than what can?
Its a pathetic addiction and i plan on winning the battle. But i can
really relate to you all, on here. Ive been lurking.
Stop now before the bad cells form a little group and start multiplying.
Im in bed today, reading. im on chantix and am doing ok!
I need to stay away from the world a few days as i continue smobriety.
