Why? I've seen the verification of people with quits that long
and longer that still run a quit meter on their computer and are
proud of it. Reading here daily makes me know for sure I know
for sure some of them are keeping up with us. There are people
with quits that long and longer that still post their added OF
every year. Think all of them saw the verification notation?
Why assume it's old age and a 'probable' lack of interest?
If you read what went wrong it makes way more sense they
never even saw the verification email. Some people on the
off list even posted their quits of 7 years and longer in AS3
during the verification period and didn't see it. Remember
what some of them were called? 'Bouncy Bouncy?' It's
more probable they overlooked than that they are not
interested anymore.
Mind you, people volunteered to try and get these people
back on the list coz these people represent AS3 history.
We are not asking the quit list keeper to do this. She just
told us we weren't allowed to email these people again!!
Cut off? Nah, it's not about saving time Molly. It's about
getting back all the people that want to be on the list and
some of them could well be in this group of 30. To me it's
more likely some of the people with younger quits on that
off list will drop off or have their quit date changed.
Well, just my 2 Euro cents. (that's about a dollar these days) ;)

Perhaps just cutting it off here, due to old age & probable change in
interests of participants is in order and would reduce some of the
verifying. Could we keep the list as an up to 7 year current list?
You eliminate about 30 of the hardest to contact, farthest out people.
And they aren't keeping up with us, so why should we assume that they
wish to be on an AS3 list of quitters? Molly
