Yes I always wash all fruits and vegies first - along with all bagged vegies.
I use a product called *Veggie Wash*(VW) - 1/4 cup of VW to 1 gallon water - agitate it for a minute then rinse thouroughly. I spray VW directly on harder fruits and vegies and scrub with a vegie brush and rinse.

The only thing I don't use VW on is mushrooms - I just rinse them and scrub with vegie brush.
