Hi Sue,
I have no plan for losing weight -- just this vague sense of what I should
and shouldn't be eating. It's a recipe for failure, I know. I'm
considering weight watchers. One thing for sure that I am going to force on
myself is one-half hour of hard exercise a day...either bike riding, jogging
or some kind of aerobic movements.
I wish you and Barbara luck. If you come up with a plan that is easy to
follow, I'd love it if you'd share it with me!

Welcome to as3, the deal is:

my answer to you. I am a very literal person. You asked what the deal
was,
not for support, so I thought I answered your question.
The best thing I did for myself was to change my morning routine because
morning was the hardest time for me. I changed how I drank my coffee and
when I showered and brushed my teeth. Little things, but it was enough to
get smoking out of my thoughts a little bit because I had to concentrate
on
what I still needed to do to get out of the house.
I also ate a lot more, which I would recommend as a help but I wouldn't
recommend the high cal stuff I ate. I am now trying to lose 30 extra
pounds
almost a year and half later.
Barbara and I are addressing that issue starting tomorrow. I'm
thinking this is going to worse than quitting smoking. :o(
How and what are you doing? I've got 27 pounds to lose.
Sue
Anyway -- good luck. There is good support here.

2) read and post as much as you can, we have all been through this and
can
help.
3) drink water, not sure why.
How bout Vit C water? I got tons of that EmergenC stuff.
4) enjoy home made sausage rolls.
Now yer talking.
5) do whatever you need to do to avoid smoking, patches worked for me.
I get them for free. But right now I'm using the gum.
6) get a quit meter, it really helps, a link will be along shortly.
Sounds interesting.
7) if some Dutch guy mentions dancing, never ever take your clothes off.
Good luck with your quit, you CAN do it and we CAN help you through it.
