I had a successful quit in the past on zyban. Quit for 2 months.
Even though i still feel cold turkey is the best IMO, I feel i need the
extra drive the zyban gave me. I want to quit again but i don't think i
can do it cold turkey ATM. I wanna get this kicked into gear, as starting
up again made me feel like complete shit.
I quit on zyban when i was 21 when in college. Worked like it said. I
smoked all i want the first week (although around day 5 i really didn't
have craving so i think i smoked just a few cigarettes till day 7)
Quit for 2 months. Almost as soon as i got off the zyban i started up.
(i should've seen the doc give me a script to taper off) withdrawals
weren't horrible but i felt on edge for 3 days stopping the wellbutrin
abruptly i started smoking. Not sure how the two is related but i wasn't
ready to go off the zyban.
Tried zyban afterward wasn't successful but at the time i don't think i
really wanted to quit.
I really wanna quit again. and now (but with zyban)
I am making the doc appointment tommorrow. Besides that, zyban holds true
to it's name as an antidepressant, maybe help me get out of this slump i'm
in.
Quit date will be set one week after i get my zyban script which will
hopefully be next week. (i have a zyban bottle which is past expiration
probably not a good idea, i got that from a friend when i wanted to quit
when i didn't have insurance)
I just can't do it cold turkey at the moment, with exception to my slips
i've only been smoking for less then a month.
Time to kick it in gear is now! He better prescribe even though i've only
been smoking a month. even though i've been only smoking a month i am a
full blown addict again (sure doesn't take long). I will tell him how it
worked in the past.
My meter will be reset which is fine. Me starting up again is my fault
and nobody elses.
I still feel quitting over a year as an accomplishment and did save at
LEAST 1,000 dollars one way or another. It wasn't all a failure although
i did fail, but i am getting my ass in gear.
Tentative quit date i'm guessing will be middle of the month. Like i
said before my quit date will be set 7 days after i get my script.
