Whoohoooo! We are down to 2 eggs a day but I'm thinking "Lucky" will
start
laying any day now, and "Dude" will not want to be a mama in a couple
weeks
and start laying again.
Our chicks are growing! 2 of them fly out of the top of the cage chasing
after her now. One night she tried to roost in a tree and one of them got
up there with her!! We are calling that one "Stewie", while 3 others
(Cleo,
Peeps Jr and Olay!) cry from the cage for their mama to come back. We let
them all out a couple days ago and DH put steps up for them to get back in
but a couple of them just can't get the hang of it.
Stay tuned... lol
Keep us posted!
With hope and heart,
Kathleen

Since I am the only one in West Virginia, Im probably the only one
with "fresh" eggs. My father still raises chickens for the eggs.
Actually, Ill take the week old out of the store before I would the
day old out of the chickens arse. I like my eggs well aged I suppose.

Oh and, if you are not raising your own chickens for your eggs, the
eggs in the store are at least 1 week old by the time you buy them.
