Re: Did you quit between 2/15/06 & 4/15/06?

Now, I personally just wear my straight-jacket to keep me from smoking.

Or, I guess if I'm being honest here, I'll admit: I've realized it
serves this nifty double duty.

bullets.

If you quit between February 15th & April 15th you are eligible for the
elite, the uproarious, the most determined little group of new quitters
in a3s - the SBF2 (Stubborn F&%(*$%Q Bastards 2) Club.

If you are eligible, you really should consider joining.

Why, you ask? Good question.

Because 4 out of 5 Fogies surveyed believe that joining a sub-club
within a3s, being part of smaller group of quit buddies that take
special care of each other, increase chances of staying quit by
37.59365%

Now, the SBF2ers is not a Club for the faint of heart.

If you turn green at cursing that does sailors proud, well, we may not
be for you.

If you are a stickler for decorum you may find our unabashed enthusiasm
a tad ... unseemly. Being an SBF2er increases your likelihood of being
embarrassed in front of the larger a3s community by a factor of at
least 3.

Being a member of SBF2ers does not preclude membership in LTTMers or
LTOQers. You might want to consider joining SBF2, however, as those
designations are necessasarily self-expiring (unlike us, who, since we
have quit smoking, won't be self-induced-expiring!!).

SBF2ers as a club, on the other hand, will march into time arm in arm,
muskateers and all of that.

Current SBF2 members - but don't less this dissuade you are John
(jsteam), astrog, Barbara (the particular reason we date back to 2/15)
Sue, OZ, pc & me)

The original SBF club from whence we take our name and inspiration is
DAMNED successful. We keep busts of our SBF forefathers in our cyber
Moose Lodge.

It was time, however, to bring the SBF spirit to '06. To let girls in.

So come join us IF you think you can cut it. If you think you've got
what it takes. If you can tolerate John's drums at all hours ... will
nod and smile indulgently as astrog waxes on about the wonders of his
smoke-free vascular system ... You know, that kind of thing. (I'm
they'll come up with something I do, though it will likely be a GREAT
exaggeration)

SFB2 Club Rules:

1) Quit Date between 2/15 & 4/15

1) Participate in extremely ridiculous levels of celebration for any
and every conceivable milestone of fellow SFB2ers.

2) Assist in assembling Dispatches from the Frontlines, edition III
post. SBF2 club members need to keep eyes peeled for the
best/worst/most ridiculous posts currently/recently going up. Keep a
list and/or email them to me as you find your favorites. In a few
weeks everyone will email these lists to me, I'll compile the master
III edition & post it. We'll then turn the editing job over to the
next group of newbie quitters.

SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT SBF2 CLUB RULE:
We post before we smoke. No matter what. We give each other a chance
to GET to each other - to help before we go and F(*^(*^(^ it all up.
We stick together.

We call ourselves F&^*&^#^@W# Stubborn for a F%*#&(*^)(#^ REASON!!

If you think you have what it takes to be a SBF2er, reply hereto.
Your initiation rite instructions will follow once we review your
credentials.

One month, one week, four days, 1 hour, 21 minutes and 20 seconds ago I
made a Decision. Honoring that Decision means an estimated 336
cigarettes I have not smoked, saving $126.04, not to mention 1 day, 4
hours, 0 minutes of my life.
