Re: quick flash

April, this is so great! I am so happy for you and for the baby!

I trust you when you say that tomorrow is going to be hard for you.
I'll tell you, you will be able to tackle whatever comes your way with
your head held up higher, your back tall and proud as you hold that
baby daughter of yours, if you know that no matter what goes down
tomorrow, you have made the decision you will not smoke. That is the
decision that will give you confidence and strength - every day I do
that I realize "wow, the rest of this 'life' thing? I can figure the
rest of THIS out! THe rest of this is a piece of cake next to this
addiction!!" I hope tomorrow you remember to ask for help when you
need it. Cry if you need to. Eat and drink when you are hungry and
thirsty. Stay in the day. No matter what it is, it can be handled.
Don't 'awful-ize' it. Look yourself square in the eye in the mirror -
if you do this one day at a time, you can do anything at all.

I'll tell you, we single moms, as we figure out the no-smoking thing -
we are FIERCE !! We are able to tap into being so strong and so brave
and so powerful!!!

Remember that there are things more important than 'I wanna I wanna I
wanna." As a matter of fact the only thing I think that feels better
than giving in to an "I wanna" is staring it down, being the adult in
the face of the child's "I wanna" pout. The harder the craving
withstood the stronger your resolve for the next little while.

You CAN do this. Deciding you have done it is key. GIve yourself
that gift.

Good luck with things tomorrow! Stephanie

Okay dont get excited as I am taking minute by minute and day by day but
this is how it stands

14 hours, 14 minutes and 0 seconds. 8 cigarettes not smoked, saving £2.22.
Life saved: 40 minutes.

Well done, keep it going, a brave gutsy 'I'm gonna look after my own
life decision' WTG !! Or as we brits like to say, 'Way to go. Ma'am.' :-)

Ond day at a time...
