Not a great couple of days, the oft mentioned depression bit kicked in, snappy and down. On holiday of course, so nothing to keep the idle fingers happy. As opposed to my manic cleaning, watching endless Simpsons morbidly :-) Ok you folks out there with your eats veggies and fruit, go for bracing walks, your points are well noted, but it does not replace that *crave,,*

Had a look at the meter..

Two weeks, six days, 22 hours, 20 minutes and 49 seconds. 418 cigarettes not smoked, saving £107.16. Life saved: 1 day, 10 hours, 50 minutes.

I love Mazda MX-5's. You guys will probably know it as the Miata (?)

I have a 1997 model, It's a great car, goes like a rat out of a trap. Best road holding in the world, (well for that price !)

I played with some numbers.

£107 (Cigs not smoked) divided by 21 equals £5.09

£5.09 multiplied by 31 equals about £158.

£158. Plus £116, an old loan coming to an end, next month.

Equals £274.

I have an Mx-5 1997 reg, Worth about 4-5K

I can get a 16k loan for £304 per month.


I could get a brand new, (new model) top of the range, (with all the bits) brand spankin new MX-5 with the monthly increase in my outgoings of...£30.

Utterly pointless, but motivation !!
