In addition to the passing of Dawn, my mom also had a grade school friend die of second-hand smoke related diseases, so it's been very sad in my family recently.

On the plus side, today is my second day working at a major medical/teaching University as a temp, but in a high profile position for the surgical team! Wow. Talk about intimidating, but so far so good. They know my background isn't medical but if I do a good job I may have a chance at a perm position! And smoking is a HUGE NO-NO on campus, so that helps, too. And if I'm lucky, I'll meet a nice cute surgeon one day and live happily ever after...

Right. lol

As for the weather, it was bitter cold here for a few days last week, and now it's just the normal 40+ degrees and rain. It snowed for about 15 minutes when it was colder, which was cool to see!

I'm moving into my new apartment this weekend (finally!) so needless to say I've been busy, busy, busy! It's been a bit stressful but manageable.

You are a sweetheart for asking about me! :)
