Re: /whimper/

i know it's a crappy place to be in but FWIW i think that this "only a
sneaky two or three small ones" and "sitting there being miserable is worse
than not having one or two" is just junkie thinking. also this idea that
(But I think I'll just say, "given up since Jan 1st, although have had a
couple or so".) is a bit lame..........sorry.

it's like this.....either you've quit smoking or you haven't. you can't
have quit........apart from the odd one!

you must know in your mind that you have quit. no more smoking, not the odd
one, no excuse, you've stopped, you don't smoke any more. if you don't know
this in your head then you're going to keep smoking, you might just start
with the odd one but it will get more frequent and creep back up.

this is a battle between the part of you that wants to quit and the part of
you that's a nicotine addict. you have to stay in control if you want to
win.

I was quite drunk when I made the decision, but did think about it for
ages.
I then decided that sitting there being miserable is worse than not having
one or two.<

alcohol is a depressant.............you quit smoking then drink yourself
into a depressed state where you're no longer really responsible for your
actions..........................that would be the nicotine addict getting
the better of you.

it's really *** going through quitting smoking but by having the 'odd one
or two' you're making it even harder for even longer. you're setting
yourself up to fail further down the line.

read up on junkie thinking.....print it out and keep it close............try
to understand that the junkie in you is trying to keep you dependent on
smoking.

you can beat this addiction but you have to be strong and don't give it an
inch.

wishing you the best
richard

you fall off, you get back on , you fall off you get back
on................if you keep at it the chances are that you stop
falling. just don't give up on yourself

It was only a sneaky two or three small ones, but felt that I'd reset my
clock. But I think I'll just say, "given up since Jan 1st, although have

The tobacco I have here I will bin.

So, it's a little stumble, but I'm back on track.

I'm now sitting here waiting for a parcel to be delivered. I really hate
waiting in for parcels. I was up at 8.30 this morning wanting to go for a
bike ride .. it's now nearly 1pm with no sign of the delivery. (I bought
myself a pressy for not smoking, so I have to give up again before it
arrives!)
