Thanks for the suggestion. The problem, though, is that she's 12, and
doesn't really share much of her mom's (or my) musical taste. What we (her
Mom and I) actually have on CD, between us, is pretty minimal. Most of my
music is in older formats--vinyl or tape. Probably a few thousand dollars
worth of tunes in those formats, and I haven't been too motivated to dash
out and re-spend money to get the same stuff on CD. My (our) CD music
collection is perhaps...oh, maybe 25% of our total...?

Plus-- truth be told-- I've gotten quite fond of being able to listen to
music at the computer, so I wouldn't mind beefing up my *own* collection of
digital goodies. I can already play CDs here at the desk, but a batch of
MP3s would come in handy for *me*, too...
