Re: EEEK OT

I tried to do it drug free the first time = they ended up adding something
to my IV (demerol?) and I couldn't tell it had any effect until
afterwards... when I was joking with the doctor. My recovery was quick and
painless. I was out and about in a couple days, running around and doing my
thing.

I did the epidural with the second one and it was pain free but the recovery
was awful. I was tired and hurt for at least a week, and wanted no visitors
either.

They all have advantages and disavantages. I think I would try it without
the drugs again if I could (the only reason I got the epi was because my 7yo
daughter was there at the birth and I didn't want her to freak out).

Just sharing,
Kathleen
