Re: Insomnia

Aaaargh!!!

I know I shouldn't get wound up about this, but for the past 2 or 3
weeks I have developed a habit of waking up in the middle of the night
and not being able to get back to sleep for ages. Predictably, this
happends at about 1am, 3am and 5am, at which point I'm just startingn
to drift of by 6.30am when my alarm goes off. Reckon I'm getting only
about 4 hours sleep total (but catching up some at weekends)

I'm not lying awake worrying about anything, I try to just relax and
rest even if I'm not sleeping, but it's getting rather tedious and,
while I'm ok during the day, by the evening I'm pretty much of a
zombie so I'm not getting to enjoy my free time much. I'm starting to
feel quite down/flat also, don't know if this is cause, effect or
neither... Even though I could easily fall asleep at 8pm I'm staying
up as long as possible, as heavens knows when I'd wake in the night if
I went to bed early!

I'm assuming this is part of the quit thing and will go in its own
time, but any suggestions from anyone who's been there also would be
really gratefully received!

BTW, I'm using patches but only the lowest dose 16 hour ones, so don't
think this is due to the NRT...

yeah scorpy try some relaxation meditative type music. You can download it on the net for free. It works, and this info is coming from someone who has had very bad insomnia in the past. Not bad now i got through it but the sounds definitely help. Download something that sounds like a light breeze, waves in the ocean *** like that i *** you not. Or go to the bookstore and buy a cd like that for dirt cheap. Just a suggestion it helped me in the past.
