I have my cable and internet hooked up!! I'm not a big fan of paying the
cable company money because they charge to much but i got a real good deal
for at least 6 months. Got a shitload of cable channels, with hbo, cinemax,
starrz, encore, 200 of the other cable channels, digital music, and Internet
for 78 a month. They had this special with the internet is only 19.99 if you
sign up for this. Only channels i don't have is showtime, tmc, and a few
sports channels on the sports tier. If you got charter ask about it because
you know as well as i know that once a deal runs out they'll up your rates
and not tell you of other deals. You almost have to threaten to cancel to
get new deals.
The only thing missing in my cable setup is my internet is in my bedroom. I
have a second tv i need to track down a friend who i borrowed it too to get
that hooked up in my bedroom. I usually watch tv when i'm on the internet.
Otherwise the apartment is coming together some. Last sunday i brought
another load of things. Brought more clothes, stereo, cds, printer, a couple
lamps, and other things.
What i need for my apartment is this: My living room is small and that's
where my shittiest carpeting is. It's only 14 feet by 8 feet. I need to get
a couple throw/ area rugs to cover the majority of it. I seen they have them
cheap at walmart. And i need to get a cheap entertainment center for my tv
setup in the living room. I really don't care about the rugs/ entertainment
center, it will just make my apartment alot nicer. You got them wierd old
wook tiles on the walls so you can't really paint them. I gotta hang
posters/stuff on the walls. i do all that it will make my apartment alot
nicer. Bedroom is really not that bad. Carpeting isn't too horrible, in
fact it's my favorite room i'm more interested making the living room a
little nicer for if i have company or whatever.
Money is real tight now so even rugs/ entertainment center will wait til i
know i have all my bills paid. They are paid i pay them as i get them with
my credit card debt and now my rent, cable bill, phone bill, and food bill i
keep a real tight budget. I gotta. Good news i have three payments left on
one loan, (lol, my deferrment is over on my education loan next month so i'll
have to start paying that again), As i mentioned before with my debt i keep
up my minimums i pick out one credit card and pay all i can on it every
month, and at this point do not know if it will be much more then minimum,
but long as i keep everything paid and support myself i am happy. All i know
is every single month my debt is going down even if just a little and as i
get things paid off i can put more money on other debts. I should get a good
chunk back for taxes so that'll help.
I have a plan by next summer i can have both of my personal loans paid off.
Early next summer i will see if i can get a house loan and consolidate my
remaining credit card balance which will be high, but i keep everything paid
and my credit good. Only thing not great on my credit is the amount of debt i
have but it gets better every month. Think i actually have a fair to good
credit score and it gets every month. I'll talk to the bank ahead of time and
i should be able to get a loan, then i can start looking for a house:)
Well i just got my cable/ internet so i'm gonna maybe find a movie to watch
before work, eat, etc. i had over 2000 messages to download on this group
there is no way i'll be able to read even a fraction of them but gonna check
some of them out. Smokings going good, or lack of it.
Meter has grown a great deal since i last posted it. I got through about the
shittiest weekend of my life and didn't even think of smoking as an option so
that shows how much this quit has evolved. You start out thinking of smoking
every minute on the minute and now if i do think about it i usually do not
want to smoke. I always want to smoke but the urge is so weak and my desire
to not smoke is more then my desire to smoke. My two cents anyway. I'll
post more once i get a little more time. I have to get going, get ready for
work, check my cable out. Definitely good to be back. No cable or internet
really sucked, especially the internet.
