Hey, no problem. Just looks to me from your responses to folks' feedback
that you sought more to justify blowing your quit than learn from it.
Nothing morally superior about that. Nothing dour about that. Nothing
12-step about that. A person is either smokefree or not. Everybody has a
choice. If you want to set up the next slip with your current attitude,
that's your choice, too.
Here's a thought; maybe some people who have been down this same path know
more about this than you do? Maybe people who fell victim to the "Just One"
fallacy understand what you don't seem to at this point; that Just One more
often than not leads to Just One More, and eventually Just One More Dead
Smoker. Chances are you'll call this "dour" or sensationalist, but it's
life and death. It's not an experiment. Quit bullshitting yourself that
it's otherwise.
Do you want to be smokefree or "sort of" smokefree? Rather like being
somewhat pregnant or somewhat dead, no? You can talk all you want about the
reactions and look down your nose at as3 (as you have more or less accused
some of doing, setting off more than one Irony Meter, no doubt), but it
doesn't change what happened. Whether you use the experience or repeat it,
again, is up to you.
Once again, your choice. It won't affect others choices.
Continuing to argue with as3 and attempt to justify your position if you
want. Also, your choice.
What're you gonna do?
