Rumors and gossip are nasty and self-serving via the person who spreads
them. Unfortunately gossip does alter the perceptions of certain types of
people exposed to it. So yes there will perhaps be some people in your
neighborhood who will latch onto it due to ignorance and lack of strong
character. I know how hard it is to ignore it - but that is truely what I
suggest you try to do. People who gossip generally have revengeful type
personalities and are not good to be around you and baby! Unless she has
sociopathic tendencies she will have to live with her conscience with full
knowledge of the damage she did. At least your conscience is clear! Raise
your chin up sweetkins because you are a much better person character-wise
then she is :)
