Yuppers, I did some of that too...
I went one step further by putting my requests for
closing the account and contacting the big three
credit
reporting agencies in writing and sending it to my
cards
when I closed them down.
Also, if you've
been a customer for a while and haven't had
any late payments, you can call your credit card
company and have your interest rate lowered in
many
instances.
