Oops... a little quick on the trigger finger today :)
Meant to say that I think this is an excellent post, Lee, and well in line
with my own observations across the board. Thanks for writing it.

Is this Joel Spitzer's view (article)? The anti-NRT slant of it suggests
so.
Whether or not it's Joel's take, the anti-NRT will turn some off, as it did
me. NRT worked for me; I'm over three years smober. I'd like to see
someone attempt to punch holes in what's worked for some. I'm certainly
aware that NRT doesn't work for many people but for any article (read:
opinion) to issue a blanket condemnation of this method is harmful (read:
disingenuous).
It seems, to me at least, that whyquit tends to be a polarizing issue for
some folks. Much like Allan Carr except that Allan, to my knowledge,
doesn't run a Message Board that gives you the *permanent* boot if you
slip....even once. Nor boot you off for daring to question *anything* as
has happened to at least one active member here in as3.
If one "takes what they need and leaves the rest", there is some value to
whyquit. Taken as a whole, it has nothing to offer me.
Just my opinion, and I'm very well aware it's contrary to the opinion of a
few who see Joel as some kind of deity.
btw, is Joel an ex-smoker or a never-smoker?
