I know I have MS because I've seen the MRI with my own eyes, there
are holes in my spinal cord. I was also tested for Lyme in addition to
an lp.

Yes Dory, the running theory is that we have an overactive immune
system. Our bodies are attacking the myelin sheaths that cover our
nerves. I beleive this because I am getting medication that gets rid
of these activated cells, and I'm pretty much MS-free for now. Hope
that helps.

Dory and I have an understanding of sorts, don't worry about it. It's
between her and me. We're seeing who can be the biggest bitch.
Laughter is key to this disease, and I get her sense of humor. She
seems to get mine as well. Many of us have trouble with our hands,
with our legs, with our speech. It isn't just one person who suffers,
and on a board like this, it's a place to let go and be. Something
that is pretty hard to do in the real world. Dory is strong woman, MS
is not for sissies. If I were serious and wanted to hurt her, I'd hit
a whole lot harder than that. The thing is, I'm not trying to hurt
anyone.
Every time I have used steroids I have gotten worse, so I subscrbe to
the strengthening theory. We don't need to suppress, we need to
straighten it out.
Another question for you. How many of you are sure that what you have
is MS? Anybody believe that they might have Lyme, Celiac, etc?
