Re: Mitoxantrone, low WBC and another attack

I started Mitoxantrone September 5th, 08. One attack in Early march. So 1
attack in 6 months, relatively good for me. Normally i'm all fired up every
2-4 weeks with something new.

So I had my 3rd dose of Mitoxantrone on April 23. Two weeks post infusion I
get a blood test to check my white blood count. My white blood count is
below normal level and i'm told to avoid sick people and hospitals for a
couple weeks.  Now a few days after the two week mark I start having another
attack, like 3 days after the 2 week mark. So I'm having an attack even
though my immune system is below normal levels???? My entire left side from
head to toe is more numb then it already was.

So Pre Mitoxantrone WBC 8.5,  Two weeks Post 3.5.

Now I would assume that at the point when My immune system has been knocked
down to about Half of its normal level that an attack wouldn't happen. This
really has me wondering if something is triggering my MS to fire up, you'd
think that if my WBC was so low that it would be busy enough trying to keep
me from getting sick then attack myself.

This Monster really has me scratching my head.....

the auto-immune theory is just that, a theory.
did you ever stop to wonder what if they're wrong?
what if all this talk about suppressing the immune system originally
set the research off in the wrong direction?
and everything they've come up with to this point was based on just a
theory.
I remember reading about an autopsy that was immediately done on a
woman that died from complications of ms,
and it was determined that there was no activity to suggest that the
immune system/lesions were the cause.
current mainstream meds work about a third of the time in about a
third of those that use them. Thats what I hear anyway.
I dont think that weakening the immune system is the answer.
