A way to prevent MS will probably be found in the next few decades.
Reversing the damage will always depend on the ability of the nervous
system to repair itself. The main problem is that the repair work is
blocked by glial cells that have changed to there reactive state in
damaged areas. There are currently no drugs that can reverse the
reactive state.

relatedto the MS factor, ranks up there with teeth being able to
repair themselves.


That's the point. Nerves can repair if the reactive glia obstacles are
removed.
