Oh, yes, and it was very good, too. Mmmm, German Chocolate cake with
vanilla ice cream. Just what the doctor ordered, to sooth the soul.

After making some adjustments and a temporary repair to the chair, I was
able to go pick up a couple birthday cards, and then Little Alex and I
managed to croak out "Happy Birthday To You". (No, don't expect to see
us on American Idol, anytime soon.)

However, she *wouldn't* let me put individual candles on the cake, I had
to settle for those number shaped candles, 5 and 0. *I* think that
individual candles would have made for a better picture, although, it
may have brought out the fire department, as well, but she gave me "the
look", when I suggested it. We've been married long enough, that when I
get "the look", I know its time to just say "Yes'm", and comply, its
game over, I lose. ;-)
