Re: Continued progression of diasability in PPMS

M, I have to agree with Eric and others. You need to stop worrying about
specifics. Easier said than done , I know, but we have no specific answers
for you, nor do the docs. MS is a custom disease, redesigned especially for
each of us. Different initial symptoms, different courses of disease,
different levels of disability -- and no predicting any of it.

I know PPMS looks the most scary, but only a small percentage of us are
PPMS, and it sounds to me like your wife is having relapses, attacks
followed by recovery of function. Hold on for the diagnosis, and then maybe
you and your wife should look for a therapist who specializes in chronic
diseases, to help you wrap your mind around this. It's an ongoing process,
dealing with this disease, and we all need a little help getting through it.
Best, Shelley

Hi again,

I keep reading that in PPMS that are no relapses it's just a continued
progression of diasability. So what does that mean? Can you provide me
with some of your own PPMS examples (inital symptom(s)) and how long
it took to spread?

Thx
M.
