They are indeed.
Here are the headers from one of BigArtie's posts:
From: "BigArtie" <badegg69@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Newsgroups: alt.support.mult-sclerosis
Subject: Re: MS and RA
NNTP-Posting-Host: 69.112.182.209
Organization: Optimum Online
And here are headers from a post by Marshall Johnston:
From: "Marshall Johnston" <badegg69@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Newsgroups: alt.support.mult-sclerosis
Subject: Procarin
NNTP-Posting-Host: 69.112.182.209
Organization: Optimum Online
They both use the same email address, and they both post from the same
IP address. What a coinkydink!
Interestingly, here is a post from "Marshall Johnston", advocating *for*
med-pot:
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.mult-sclerosis/msg/7658ffd6ff5403da
while this post, from "BigArtie", rails against med-pot, presumably to
bolster his LDN argument:
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.mult-sclerosis/msg/c01fd514e5da2a38
I see he started out as "joe hadenuff":
Newsgroups: alt.current-events.wtc-explosion
From: "joe hadenuff" <badegg69@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Date: Sat, 08 Dec 2001 23:22:08 GMT
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.current-events.wtc-explosion/msg/9e57b1ef3f5f3499
Then came "Marshall Johnston":
Newsgroups: alt.current-events.usa
From: "Marshall Johnston" <badeg...@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Date: Mon, 01 Jul 2002 01:12:09 GMT
Local: Sun, Jun 30 2002 9:12 pm
Subject: Mexico is the Real Enemy Right Now; Not Iraq
His first post to asms appears to be Jun 2 2005:
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.mult-sclerosis/msg/8bb00e8040a9e579
Then, on Jun 12 2007, "BigArtie" appears:
Newsgroups: alt.tasteless.jokes
From: "BigArtie" <badeg...@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Date: Tue, 12 Jun 2007 19:30:58 -0400
Local: Tues, Jun 12 2007 7:30 pm
Subject: Where's...
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.tasteless.jokes/msg/799d14e3a3593db7
And, so far, it seems "Marshall Johnston" is no more.

I remember Marshall Johnson from way back when... ah, the trolls in my
past... :) Are he and the Big A one and the same??? That makes him an even
bigger PITA (took me a sec but I like it). Like we don't have enough to do,
dealing with the same morons time after time, year after year. Kill-file
'em all I say! Block 'em and forget 'em!

have
something called 'Hughes Syndrome', a hidden blood disease which in some
ways mimics MS. It is also known as "Sticky Blood Syndrome".
A lot of people with MS got very hopeful, had the bood tests. . .and
guess what? They didn't have Hughes Syndrome, but the damn MS after
all. After a while, the "Hughes" craze (and high hopes) faded away.
Big Artie aka Marshall Johnson, why don't you quit hitting ASMS with a
bunch of misinformation? You're turning into a real PITA.
Or are you running for the Ironjustice BAD (bullhockey about diseases)
Award?
