Thank you, Shirley.
Actually, after I sent it, I reread it and thought it might have sounded
kind of arrogant and it wasn't meant that way.
You see when I was 16, a wise aunt I had, said to me "how can you expect
others to like you if you don't like yourself". I know she didn't mean that cruelly but simply to help because I was going through what kids typically do at that age and my boyfriend, the love of my life or so I
thought, had just broken up with me.
Anyway, it made sense to me so it started me on a life-long journey to identify those things about me I didn't like and change them. Although I
turned 56 in April, I know I'm still a work in progress, shall we say, but at least I'm more comfortable with who I am today.
I've always felt there is only one person we *have to* live with the rest of our lives and that's ourself. So, I need to make sure that whatever I do or say, I feel alright with it. Thar's my primary job.
Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox now! (smile)

Silver, that's great ! I hope I can get to be that at peace with myself. I'm better than I was, but it's still a work in progress!
