Lossandra, I know what you mean about trying to keep a facade of
cheerfulness in front of people-but that can put an even bigger hurt on
yourself. I have a son in his 20's and a mom in her 80's, and I try to
down play everything in front of them, but sometimes that takes more
energy than it does to cry, or bitch and moan or whatever, and then I'm
really a mess(like now)-I've been crying in my pillow a lot lately.
I've been struggling with this for quite a while, and I have come to
the realization that this group is probably the best place to
vent-because everyone understands. It's so difficult to explain this
stuff even to people who you love and are close to. I have fortunately
a couple of close friends that I talk to, but I feel like such a
downer as these were friends I used to go out and party with, even
before we were old enough to party-legally! And now we are three old
bags that make grunting noises when we get out of cars! But they both
pretty well know that if they don't hear from me for a while that I'm
on the down low, and that I will resurface.

I wish I had an answer about grandma though-but she sounds like a
wonderful lady that thinks the world of you, so I would guess that she
is probably just very happy to see you, and would be the type to
comfort you if you needed it.
And don't feel bad about the laundry-there have been a couple times
when I absolutely had to go somewhere, and had to spritz a little
Febreze on my not quite sunshine fresh clothes! It works in a pinch!

I'll keep you in my thoughts, and hope you'll feel better.
