Re: 'Referred dental pain' -- TN??? :{

Hey Rose, sorry to hear about your mouth/nerve pain :( My friend goes
to TJ to get her dental work done, she says its dirt cheap and
considering I just went to the dentist and they gave me an $8,000.00
estimate for my solu-medrol mouth, I think I'll knock on your door and
drag you with me across the border there for some new pearly whites.
What say you?

donde esta el dinero, jefe? LOL!

living in 'Diego, we see tons of ads in the paper, mags, teevee, radio,
for TJ docs, dentists and pharmacies, and i've thought about it, but
always been way too much of a pinche pollo to actully do it. Tam has a
friend, though, Mex-Am guy with fluent Spanish, whose Abuelita still
lives in the area, and he goes to get a lot of his medical care in TJ
-- but see, i figured since he had relatives in the area, he'd actually
know who ws reputable and who just wanted to rip off the Gringos,
whereas i....am one of the gringas!! hee!

hell, if he agreed to come *with* us, we could park at the border, walk
across, have a gander at his Abuela's teeth to make sure they pass the
test, and then make the trip to her dentist's office! since i gave up
drinking, i wouldn't be much fun company, but i reckon after some
hardcore pain meds urchased OTC from a Pharmacia, i could meet up with
the rest of y'all at the bar of your choice. ;-> that's the point of
the 'walk through' -- get on to U.S. soil, then sleep it off in your
car before driving back home! (and y'know, it's actually a good idea --
Tam's "inaugural trip to TJ," when she was 18 and could get legally
blasted there, but had another 3 years to go before she could do that
in CA -- she and her bf of the time hit some '10 Margaritas for U.S.
$10!!!' bar, got drunk out their minds, walked (staggered!) over the
border, and crashed out in his car for several hours till it was safe
to drive home.

boy, wasn't that a detour -- from referred dental pain to my daughter's
drunken TJ revel when she was 18, in 3 easy paragraphs -- LOL!!

rose :->
