Sorry Rob, I think I posted the same thing before yours showed up here.
That being said, it doesn't say Drudge is left of center, it says his
news reports run left of center, just like the WSJ's do. His editorial
comments as WSJ's tend to lean right.
This is an example of the squeaking wheel getting the grease. Since the
ones leaning left make the most noise, they get the most news coverage.
You don't sell advertising by printing the non-sensational. Just read
the headlines at the checkout counter. :-)

When discounting editorial comments and bias, its interesting how the
news outlets shook out. I would hardly call Lehrer a moderate. Certainly
a liberal, but when viewing only his reports, and ignoring his editorial
comments, he comes out nicely centrist.
And Drudge, left of center...? Wow.
