It is.

But this is an unmoderated, Usenet newsgroup, so it is whatever people
feel like posting.

We don't always feel like talking about MS because we are not always
about MS ourselves. There is a lot of "off-topic" banter, some of it
serious and some of it just fun stuff.

Moderated newsgroups are a little dry for my taste, though I do belong
to a few of them. If the trolls bug you, just don't read their garbage.
