Your friend is not the only one confused by the Medicare changes! It's
like Einstein's Theory of Relativity; only about 10 people on the
planet really get it! <grin>

She may be a little confused at this point. I'm on Betaseron, which is
another megaexpensive MS drug, and the drug company has a phone number
to get advice on what insurance plans will cover their drug.
Maybe Avonex has a similar program; she could try their 800 number and
start from there.
One thing is for sure: whatever program she (and I) choose HAS to cover
the expensive drugs like Avonex.
