OT: *0nly* in San Francisco

Today in San Francisco, Olympian skier Johnny Mosley had 200 tons of
snow trucked in and dumped on 2 blocks of Filmore St., one of the steepest streets in SF, because he wanted to have a ski jumping contest there for his 30th birthday.

Although his birthday was about a month ago, it took him until now to get
approval from the City Counsel because a few of the residents were protesting the inconvenience , crowds and noise it would cause. That
section of Filmore St is in the Pacific Heights neighborhood which is one
of the wealthier neighborhoods so they really don't like the interruption to
their lives.

I saw on the noon news the pictures of it from a helicopter and it's quite
a sight! It's 79Fat noon in SF which is an abnormal high tempture there,
even at this time of year

Anyway, it looks like he's going to pull it off.....O' at 3:30, they've got to
scoop all the snow that's left up and truck it back out of there.
