: But those are the sorts of meals most people eat.
Not the people I know, many of whom today, are quite health conscoius and
enjoy salad lunches, and interesting recipes and foods lower in both
carbs(not lo carb, but lower than all those rolls and potatoes) I even
fine that when I go out fo a Friday night. Shabbat meal there is , perhaps
too much food, but there will be some appetizer like gefilte fish on
lettuce, soup with optional noodles, some plain roast meat or chicken and
somwith a sauce-your choice. Side with have some starachy but many
vegetables and salads and ther wil be both a cake or fruit choice for
dessert. ALl this is on self-serve platters. In the families that eat
this way Friday night, the plannedonvers are eaten the next day and into
the week, so there is no pressure to finish everyting on the platters.
there is often a dozen or more people at these meals, reletives and
friends.
That's kind of the biggest meals I see regularly. In restaurants people
like the fresh vegetalbes served as well as the fries or baked potato,
etc. In many peple share one dinner for two as the servings may be
large..
I know there are lotso fpeople who eat the way you describe, but I just
don't hang around with them. I find that even in the little country town
near my summer home the kuncheonette kind of places are not serving wrap
sandwiches with low carb wrap as a choice and have sarted to make salad
lunches like ceassar salad with grilled chicken, and others. I tink work
is spreading about some of theproblems with he traditional grease adn carb
heavy foods. Italian restaurants also now mostly serve quie a different
menu than the one of my childhood.
