G'day Jan,
As I posted a while ago, my Accu-Chek Go was bringing up E-9 (position)
errors. I found this was because of a faulty batch of strips. Despite
that, Roche sent me an Accu-Chek Performa as a replacement. I decided
that for a while I would use <both> on simultaneous measurements, just to
see how they compare.
I find that the Accu-Chek Performa consistently shows a lower reading of
between 10% and 15% compared to the Accu-Chek Go. This is with the blood
sample taken simultaneously (same prick, same blood drop, meters next to
each other). Do you (or anyone else) have any observations on that? I
recall several years ago there were posts describing different methods
that meters use to measure bg.
Henry.
The Performa measures whole blood which is a lower reading than plasma
(which labs use). I am not familiar with what the Go measures.
I <thought> it was something like that. I'll email this to Roche and check
with them.
Henry
