its just a standard mini usb plug..you can get them for a dollar

though the nook color uses a proprietary one like jerks..any usb will charge just much slower then theirs which allows more volts through.

however a similar one for another high charge device might work...no harm comes to any device regardless of the charge as long as they are usb

Ok, follow-up here. I could not read the nuber on the plug I use to
charage my Nook, so I walked up to B&N and the clerk who knows me by
now:-) read it for me and said all I need is the different plug, not the
whole adapter. Thanks for seerign me in the right direction! Now I just
have to find one in a local stor. Radio Shack? Hardware store?
