Today's flurry of words...road rage on the information
superhighway...is much ado about nothing. About the only point I read
here today that actually has had some effect on the makeup of the
group is the one about Usenet being a bit of a dinosaur and people
choosing other more modern social media to gather and communicate.

To those who complain that some are here to sabotage or troll the
newsgroup I say you couldn't be more wrong. Learn the meaning of what
a troll is before you insinuate that someone, or in this case a cabal
of someones, is a troll. You are confusing those who are emotionally
opposed to the words of others and vocalize that emotion as trolling.
It isn't. As far as sabotaging the group...is that even possible?
Unless someone calls in hundreds of strangers to clog up the newsgroup
then there is no sabotaging going on here.

The reason the group seems different is that now there is more than
one school of thought being presented. When I first came here it was
99% low carb or nothing. Now there are more dissenting opinions and
that has made some people go apesh*t. Those same people continually
brag about their killfiles but find a way to read and attack those who
they announced were so despicable that they had to filter them out. If
you filter someone out then you should not feel the need to read what
they have to say and then attack it. That's more than childish, it's
cowardly.

Yes, there has always been good support here, in the past and in the
present. Information is still dispensed, support is still given,
despite the squabbles. You get out of the group what you put into it.
Instead of whining about what you think it has become, make it a
better place yourself and don't worry about the other crap you believe
is there. I mean, what is so hard about that? As corny as it sounds,
it is fitting here: Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
And of course, the title of my other thread, "lead by example."

Kurt

To bad you are lying about what you have actually done here.

Too bad you don't know how to spell

lol. That's the same mistake another poster used to make here a lot,
two! :)

Great example of "everything being just fine in asd".
*Do* take my advise about seeing a shrink.
