I gain 40 lbs in less than a year after going from Metforman alone to Metforman and Lantus.
Yesterday my doctor started me on Byetta - I came here looking for comments .. Did a search
and didn't find any threads.

Also .. The tips that came with my Byetta also fit on my Lantus pen. They are shorter though
and maybe my imagination but I think I like that better. Is there a difference - I mean, is
it better the deeper the needle goes ??

I was on Byetta for a while, I asked my Dr to put me on it. I did ok for the first couple of months..a bit of nausea but not to bad, then the nausea got worse and I just started feeling unwell...couldn't really pinpoint it , like I didn't want to do anything. So went off the Byetta. I am now on Metformin, Actos, and Januvia. my last A1C was 5.7 0r 5.9. The needle doesn't have to go real deep.
