Have you had an MRI on your lower back? Thanks Ellen. I had an MRI scan done when I first reported the
symptoms, and that came up clear.
Today after work I went to the beach. It's a warm day in Melbourne. The
water was cold. I only went in for a few minutes. Feel like a million
$$$ now.
I hope you're OK Ellen.
Henry.
Thanks for the good wishes, Henry. :)
I'm glad you already had the MRI.
I asked about your lower back because I'm coming around to the idea that
my doctor threw out when I told him about my leg and foot symptoms, he
said I do *not* have diabetic neuropathy, but the problems could be
coming from my back. I'm trying to convince myself that if they
[usually] don't reach the level of actual *pain* and don't impede my
activities, I should ignore them.
In general, thank G-d, I'm fine, just haven't been here much because I
started a new business that's taking a lot of my time.
Keep up the great work you are doing!
However much time you find to post here, I believe asd is the better for
it.
As I'm sitting here at work (I haven't stuffed anything up yet), I have
this feeling in my entire lower body. Like you, I am getting to the stage
that as long as there is no pain, and as long as I can manage my bg, I'll
just live with it.
Thank You
Henry.
By me it manifests as what I can only describe is my legs feel like
sandbags, I also have the phantom knee socks and tingling on the bottom of
the feet. Sometimes the tingling reaches the level of pain. Sometimes
the second toe on the right foot is painful, separate from the other
stuff. Thank G-d none of this affects my ability to stand, balance, or
walk. Usually this set of symptoms follows one of my truck-ran-me-over
spells where I have to go to sleep. So, go figure. <shrug>
From what others have described, it sounds like at least some of it is
this a lot better than I can. Have you had tests done for that? As one of
the attemts at diagnosis I had a nerve performance test done a few months
ago. This was where I had many electrodes connected to various fingers and
toes, and short pulse high voltage shocks applied. The electrodes were
connected to a laptop which gave immediate results.
Henry.
