NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Doctors, hospitals, nursing homes and
pharmacies might not get paid for products and services if the federal
government defaults on its debt next week
What makes you think they won't get paid?
They're always much in arrears in submitting billings so a few weeks
longer to get paid won't make much of a difference.
A local county owned ambulance service was a year and a half late in
submitting bills. Medicare declined to pay them. The county had to
eat the bills.
