How are your other metabolic syndrome components? How is your weight? Getting those components in on track and weight loss can help with lowering BP. My late uncle had early onset Parkinson's and was also put on ACE medication for BP. Back in the day there weren't ARB's and the ACE cough got to him. He substituted lots of raw garlic for the med and his BP improved out of sight.

I hate taking any meds from the PCP.
