Considering what people put on Facebook, and all I've been hearing about
that lately, I'm not surprised to hear about any of this.

Perhaps the posted tax return is a bogus attempt at enhancing his image,
and none of the information is actually true. Something of that sort makes
a lot more sense than plain stupidity.
One friend to whom I forwarded the original post responded as follows:
"Many people use the "Free web sites" offered by many ISP's as convenient
off-site/out-of-home backups, and just run a global FTP/backup program
to do their updates to their website/ftp site, not realizing that they
have put them in a public folder, even though it's not directly linked
on their website."
That sounds like a believable explanation.
