My bg drops very rapidly all at once early in the second hour after eating, too. I guess by changing my diet all those years ago, I prevented the progression to loss of second phase insulin response, though before diagnosis, I was at or close to 200 at 2 hours post carbs.
So no more macaroons! I looked at the nutritional information on the
packet. To my surprise in nutritional terms it looked as though these
macaroons are made largely of sugar! Silly me!
Yes, they're so extremely sweet, and I can't believe you didn't look it up before trying them! If you really love them, they can be made very healthy, I think and easily done at home.
