You are incredibly lucky to have this great relationship with our
doctor that you can reach him by fax and he responds rapidly. We will
be interested to know what he has prescribed.

Did you discuss diet, testing, weight, etc with him at your last
visit? You are, certainly movign in the right direction. Keep it up
and keep reporting to us. The reporting , itself, can help keep ou on
the "straight and narrow." Tha is why I continue to read and post
here , not only to help newbies, like you, but to keep me in toug=ch
with a group that is very concerned about keepign numbers and diabetes
under control.

A customer of mine who lives closer to the pharmacy than I do has picked
it up and delivered it to me. It is Actos. And Julie just said "Let's
hope it's not Actos" but she didn't say why. I've got a feeling that no
matter what it was, someone will find a reason it's not the right thing.

Don't get me wrong. I appreciate everybody's opinion and that's the way
we learn. I'm sure I'll be looking up what I can find out about Actos
now.

Look at any diabetic med as a temporary measure. Something to fill the gap while you work out your diet and exercise program. With your history of pancreatitis it makes sense to try and figure a good lower carb diet which you have already embarked on anyway.
