The oxidation effect and ages are at best only indirectly related.
Some oxidation is thought to be part of the immune response to fighting
bacteria and such. Oxidation is toxic to external infection.
But in excess it harms body tissue and is for diabetics a major source
of the inflammation which is so symtomatic of the disorder.
In common terms it is akin to tissue going rancid.
Ages on the other hand is the glycation of protein, thus the g in it.
This is what the a1c measures in the glycation of one red blood cell
protein.
If oxidation is like going rancid ages is like rusting.
Dietary ages only add to the problem and the body can not in excess deal
with the native and external ages production.
